Centennial Homestead

Guru worked with the managing body of Centennial Homestead to give this iconic spot a rejuvenating facelift that brought in modern materials with classic aesthetic. We used beautiful timber for the new bar cladding, left in its natural state, and industry-leading porcelain that looks like marble without the porousness.

Playing off the site’s location within the sprawling centennial parklands we used hanging plants and touches of greenery to accent the space. The two feature bars played off similar materials and shapes in differing combinations, both using brass, light timber, aged mirror and marble. This created two refined, expressive bars that were both distinct in design and yet related in materiality.
